Criminal Defense

First and MOST importantly

Leading up to, during, and after your arrest, DON'T TALK! Whether for a felony or a misdemeanor, do not try and tell your side of the story to the police. You can only hurt your chances of winning at trial. Nothing you say to the police will be used to help you at trial, but anything and everything can and WILL be used against you at trial.

DEMAND YOUR RIGHT TO A CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY AND SAY NOTHING ELSE!

You have no obligation to speak to the police or say anything except your name.

Don't discuss with anyone

The only person you should discuss your case with is your attorney. That conversation is protected by attorney/client privilege. Speaking with ANYONE else is discoverable and that person can be compelled to be a witness against you at trial.

Don't post on social media

Don't mention anything about your case on social media. Even to proclaim your innocence. In fact, it is best if you stop using social media completely until after your case is finalized.

Call me immediately

The sooner you discuss your case with me, the greater the opportunity to develop a strong defense. Waiting does not help you. Call me immediately!
